" I Found a Million Dollar Baby (in Five and Ten Cent Stores) " is a popular song.
The music was written by Harry Warren, lyrics by Mort Dixon and Billy Rose. The song was published in 1931, although the same lyrics with different music have been published five years earlier. It was introduced in the Broadway musical of Billy Rose's Crazy Quilt, which was opened in May 1931, where the song was sung by Fanny Brice.
In the 1933 Oswald the Lucky Rabbit cartoon entitled Five and Dime , Oswald played the piano while singing the song I Found a Million Dollar Baby at the Five and Ten Centers Store. [1]
In Gloria's 1975 episode The Very Moving Day, Gloria tried to tell her parents that she was pregnant, singing the song as a hint: ("I found a million dollar HMM-HMM in a five store and ten cents "), to which Archie responded," did you find a baby at Woolworth's? "
The song is used in the 1987 movie 'Little Little Rich Girl' biography: The Barbara Hutton Story 'about the life of Woolworth's heir, Barbara Hutton. The film starred Farrah Fawcett who portrayed the heir from his youth to his death in 1979.
