Reception

Discussing the app on the Silicon Alley Insider website, Dan Frommer described the program as "fraud", "worthless", and finally "scammy rip-off" jokes on August 5th, 6th and 8th , each. Without buying an application, Paul Wagenseil of FOXNews.com guesses that the secret spell is "German for 'Sucker! ' " (as Heinrich is German). Wired 's Brian X. Chen describes I Am Rich as a waste of money to "prove you're a jerk," and compare spending by donating to a foundation cancer and Third World countries.

Heinrich told Mark Milian that he had received correspondence from a satisfied customer, "I got an email from a customer who told me they really liked this app [... and that they] have no trouble spending money. "
