I Am Rich is an iOS app that was previously distributed using the App Store, and was developed by Armin Heinrich. When launched, the screen contains only the luminous red gems and icons that when pressed, display the following spells in large text:

This app is described as "a work of art with no hidden function at all", with its sole purpose is to show others that they can afford it; The author of Vox, Zachary Crockett calls it "Veblen best in the form of application". I Am Rich is sold on the App Store for US $ 999.99, EUR799.99, and Ã, £ 599.99, Apple's highest price allows for App Store content. This app was removed from the App Store by Apple without explanation the day after its release, on August 6, 2008 ( 2008-08-06 ) .

While the apps are available, eight people buy them, at least one of them claiming to have done so accidentally. Heinrich told Mark Milian that he had received correspondence from a satisfied customer, "I got an email from a customer who told me they really liked this app [... and that they] have no trouble spending money. "

The following year, Heinrich released I Am Rich LE . Priced at $ 9.99, this new app has several new features (including calculators, "help systems" and "famous spells without spelling mistakes.")
