Metal work tools are hand tools used in metal work. Hand tools are only supported by the carrier.

Slapper
Both metal and wood slappers are used for metalworking. Generally wooden slappers are covered with facial skin. Slappers can be used to shrink, contour, and planish (smooth) panels without leaving a rough mark for cleaning. Slapper controls more surfaces with each blow than a hammer and is very easy to use because it has the same angle of attack with the body hammer. This means users do not need to change the position of their hands and arms when moving from hammer to slapper. Slapper can be much more effective than a hammer to shrink because its leverage gives a greater mechanical advantage over coarse points. Slapper is great for metal work on T-stake or for gouging and planishing. A good slapper can bend and crown very well. Slapper works well by forming pegs and posting dolls for light planning and attracting cold shrinkage.

Spoon
One of the finest finishing tools ever designed is a spring spoon steel. It is widely known for its wide range of uses, and exceptional durability. When striking directly on a thin sheet or polished when backing up with other contoured tools (dolly, spike, etc.), Spoon will give an accurately contoured surface.
Dollies
Dolls can be held or paired on pole or post. Metal dolls come in different sizes and shapes and are used for all types of hand shapers and planishing, shrinking, etc.
Shaping bag
Also referred to as "soft doll." Forming bags is usually filled with sand or tin shot and stitched very tightly from canvas or leather upscale. A forming bag will allow you to "shrink" the metal without marking it if used properly.
Palu
The hammers used for metalworking usually have wood or plastic surfaces. These "faces" come in different shapes, such as flat, torpedo, hemispher, or square shapes. Different faces (and material hammers made of) allow you to work and/or shrink different metals. For example, a flat face can be used for planishing and smoothing and for hand shrinking soft metals that are thicker. While the heavy hickory "torpedo mallet" makes it most suitable for forming soft metals such as aluminum or copper, but a similar torpedo hammer made of heavy black rubber has a striking weight that is best used to form steel.
Palu
Various body hammers are used in metalworking. Hammer fragments range from small and light "pick" hammers (which provide high-crown peen-type face cuts and high-crown peen-type face), to a special hammer and heavy "crashing" hammers for heavy fender truck and panel. There are dozens of hammers designed for a specific task or metal thickness.
File and hoarse
These tools are used to deliver fine finishes for detail work, and are often used in metalworking for aircraft and aerospace industries.
Snips and shear
Pieces and scissors are used to cut metal. Different types of scrap and scissors are used for various metals and thickness. Some scissors allow for longer or shorter cuts depending on the shear force. Several types of snips and shears are recommended for flight metal workmanship.
Bookmarks and layout tools
Marking and layout tools are essential for metal work. The profile size is often used by metal craftsmen to copy the curve.
