People's Race or Folkrace is a popular, cheap, and novice form of Nordic rally originating from Finland, where it is called Jokamiesluokka or Jokkis (officially Jokamiehenluokka Class, Everyman), in Swedish "Folkrace". In Norway and Denmark, these are known as Bilcross and FolkerÃÆ'Ã|s , respectively.

About
The race runs on a special gravel or tarmac track, along 2,400 meters (1.5 miles). The track is designed to limit the top speed up to 80 km/h (50 mph). Competitions are divided into different classes depending on age and gender. Participants can be as young as 14 years old.
The race is divided into different heats with usually 6 cars. Drivers who win the race are awarded seven points, five points second, three points fourth, and so on. When all the heat has been moved, the total score is calculated and the top six drivers can race in final A, the next six in final B and so on. The winner of A final wins the event.
To maintain its inexpensive nature, there are rules about the cost of the car. Races are run in standard cars, but participants are generally free to vote as long as they meet certain minimum safety rules. Anyone can place a fixed price bid on any car, and the buyer is then selected by lottery. The fixed price is EUR 1400 (Finland, about USD 1400) or 8000 SEK (Sweden, about USD 1000). Refusing to sell is a reason to revoke someone's competition permit, but disabled participants may get exceptions if they require special equipment in the car. Personal equipment such as seats and safety harness are not included in the sale. Such a system eliminates the motivation to drown a lot of work and money into people's racing cars.
Because the old street car is used in people's races, retro and antique car enthusiasts speak of "people's racing deaths": People's races get rid of many cars that are too old to be considered day-to-day, but too new to achieve "veteran" or "antique ".
The people race is not the same as the demolition derby. While collisions occur and cars make contact with each other, deliberately hitting or blocking competitors is prohibited, and strict security rules, so teenagers (15 to 17 years) and regular SIM without drivers can participate.
