Incident at sea
In August 2017, Serene ran aground on the shallow reefs of the Red Sea, 37 km (20 nautical miles) off the coast of Sharm El Sheikh. He suffered significant damage to his stomach in the bow. The cause is reported as a combination of navigation errors and propulsion failure. He seems to be saved at a cost to return it to an undisclosed sailing form.
