Versailles is a 85,000-square-foot home owned by Westgate Resorts founder David Siegel and his wife Jackie Siegel. It is being built in 6121 Kirkstone Lane, Windermere, Florida, in its gated community of Lake Butler Sound in Orange County, USA. Named and modeled after the Palace of Versailles in France, the finished project will be one of the largest single family homes in the United States. It was designed as the primary residence of Siegels and their children.
Construction began in 2004. Work stalled in 2009 with 60% complete because Siegel company is experiencing financial difficulties. The house then sells for $ 65 million. With Westgate Resorts financial improvements in 2013, Siegel now owns the property directly and construction has resumed. Completion is scheduled for 2016, though by March 2017 the settlement date has been pushed back to at least 2019. It is expected to rate over $ 100 million, the project will be the fourth most expensive home in the United States.
The house and its owner are the subject of the 2012 documentary Queen Versailles and an episode of CNBC The Secret of Super Rich Life .

Design
Built on manmade hillside on 10 acres of lakeside property, the residence will include 11 kitchens, 14 bedrooms, 32 bathrooms, 30 car garages, two bowling lanes, indoor roller arena, three indoor pools, two swimming pools outdoor, arcade, ballroom with a capacity of 500 to 1,000 people, a two-story cinema with a balcony inspired by the Paris Opera House, a 10,000-square-foot spa gym, yoga studio, 20,000 warehouse bottles, exotic fish aquarium, two tennis courts, baseball diamonds, formal outdoor gardens, and lifts in the master bedroom closet. Since the Siegels children are older, modifications to the original plan include converting play space into yoga studios and teenage caves with a second cinema.
The doors and windows are built using some of the remaining Brazilian mahogany, costing $ 4 million. The exterior wall is precast concrete with Pavonazzo marble veneer; the entrance will feature a 30 foot-legged glass domed oculus; and the residence will have ten staff quarters, each with a jacuzzi and kitchen.

Criticism
Though unfinished, this house has been called "gaudy" and "unreasonable". Matt Hickman, writing for the Mother Nature Network, called the house "a wretched advantage". Alyssa Rosenberg of ThinkProgress called it "a monument to bad taste" and "a proof of waste".
